Guidelines and recommendations for procurement of hand sanitizer and surface disinfectants
Based on the authorities’ recommendations, campus service has set up hand sanitizer and surface disinfection dispensers widely at DTU—partly as dispensers at high-traffic areas and partly as bottles/buckets, which are distributed across various locations.
Hand sanitizer and surface disinfection are procured centrally (CAS Service Centre) and locally (university units).
The occupational health and safety coordinator network has asked CAS to prepare a framework of recommendations for procurement of hand sanitizer, so that the purchases can be made on the most informed basis possible.
The information here is intended as guidance for purchasing hand sanitizer at DTU. The word ‘recommendations’ is used to respect local responsibility and decision-making authority.
The recommendations have been prepared by an interdisciplinary group consisting of a user/occupational health and safety coordinator, a procurement officer, as well as chemistry and biology expertise and are centrally anchored in CAS.
