Education and Research Policy Summit 7 October 2026
Join the Minister for Education and Research, the Danish Parliament's spokespersons on education and research, and speakers from organisations including Dansk Metal, Altinget and Mandag Morgen for an engaging debate on the visions for Danish education and research policy.
The event will take place on Wednesday, 7 October 2026, and will feature debates with the Danish Parliament’s spokespersons on education and research. There will also be engaging presentations from Claus Jensen, Chair of Dansk Metal; Lisbeth Knudsen, Director of Strategy at Altinget and Mandag Morgen; and others. Christina Egelund, the Minister for Education and Research, will also be available for interviews and to answer questions from the audience.
Together with the spokepersons, speakers and audience members, we will discuss the current state of Danish education and research policy. How can universities safeguard democracy, improve citizen engagement and combat misinformation? Is Europe actually capable of translating knowledge, research and education into production? What impact would a weakened link between knowledge and production have on competitiveness? We will challenge the political parties on their ambitions for Danish universities.
We look forward to a day of fruitful and constructive discussions about the parties' visions for Denmark's education and research policies.
The event will be in Danish.
