Until mid-November 2026, Henrik Wegener will replace Bjarke Bak Christensen, Acting University Director, as Head of Department at DTU Bioengineering.

“Henrik has extensive knowledge of DTU from his time both as Provost and as Head of Department at DTU, and I am pleased that Henrik will make his expertise and considerable work capacity available during the acting appointment period,” says Anders Bjarklev in connection with the announcement.

During the acting appointment period, Henrik Wegener will divide his time between DTU Bioengineering and the Global Pathogen Analysis Platform (GPAP).
