New Holiday Accrual Plan in Oracle Fusion from 1 September 2026

Oracle has changed the way Holiday accrual is managed in Fusion. This balance will become visible at the end of September 2026.

If you accrue paid holiday, you will therefore see a new balance called Holiday Carryover under Me - Time and Absence - Absence Balances. This balance will become visible at the end of September 2026.

The new Holiday accrual plan will continue to be called Holiday, and the first accrual will be visible on 30 September 2026. (Plans not yet translated).

What does this mean for you?

From the end of September 2026, you will be able to see both Holiday and Holiday Carryover under Me - Time and Absence - Absence Balances.

  • Holiday Carryover: Here you can see any remaining holiday from the previous holiday accrual plan. This balance must be used no later than 31 December 2026. This balance will no longer be visible in your absence balances from 8 January 2027.
  • Holiday: Here you can see the Holiday you accrue from September 2026 onwards.

Registering Holiday

You do not need to do anything differently when registering Holiday. Fusion will automatically determine whether Holiday is deducted from Holiday or Holiday Carryover.

If you are a new employee and have transferred Holiday from a previous employer, this Holiday will be used first.

What Happens to Holiday Carryover?

Holiday Carryover is only visible during a transition period. From 8 January 2027, the plan will no longer be shown under your absence balances.

Remaining Holiday in Holiday Carryover approved for Transfer to 2027

Approved Holiday transfers will be handled as usual. Once HR has received and processed your Holiday transfer agreement, the transferred Holiday will be visible under the new Holiday accrual plan, Holiday, by the end of January 2027.

Special Holiday Days

Your special holiday days are not affected by this change.
