PhD supervisor programme

The four-module PhD supervision programme covers the process from how to comply with rules and regulations at DTU, through supervision relationship dynamics and creating a researcher, to the involvement and importance of the community around PhD supervisors and students.

The educational programme is designed for all supervisors, whether they are new or experienced. At DTU, we encourage supervisors to continuously develop their supervision skills, both at the start of their careers and as they progress. To support this, we incorporate peer groups into the programme, providing supervisors with opportunities to share and discuss challenges as they arise.

Participants receive certification upon successfully submitting a supervision portfolio that includes reflections on their supervision style and aspirations for improvement, which must be approved.

The programme runs twice a year.
