It takes a lot academically to become one of the select few who has their own research group. Funding is crucial, and the competition is tough - and there are barriers that you have to overcome – one of them is to know what it takes.

With this yearly webinar, we want to inform late PhDs and postdocs who have the ambition to attract funding and become an independent research group leader. We hope to give you the knowledge to make qualified decisions about your future career.

 At the meeting, we will go through:

• The big picture of getting funding
• What (from a funding perspective) constitutes a competitive CV for an independent researcher?
• Available calls for proposals at your level
• Good advice to young researchers
