Profile changes in DTU Basen
This guide explains how to change your username and primary profile in DTU Basen (www.dtubasen.dtu.dk). This guide is relevant if you are both a student and a student worker at DTU. In that case, we recommend that you use your student number as your username and set your primary profile to Student. If your primary profile is instead set to your employee information, it can cause issues in DTU Learn, for example with course enrollments and the integration with Microsoft Teams.

In the main menu, select "Change personal data".

Select "Account data that can be edited freely".

Next to “Username”, you can choose either your student number or your initials if you are both a student and an employee at DTU.
Next to “Primary Profile”, you can choose either your student or employee profile. We recommend selecting “Student” as your primary profile if you are a bachelor’s or master’s student at DTU.

Click "Update" at the bottom of the page to save your changes.
