Holiday follow-up
Holiday is primarily scheduled in collaboration between the employee and the manager and within the framework established for taking holiday. Management must, to the greatest extent possible – taking daily work into account – accommodate the employee’s wishes.
Corporate HR notifies the holiday. Even though the holiday has been notified to be taken, the manager still has a duty to ensure that the employee takes the holiday and that the holiday is correctly registered in DTU Fusion.
If the administration of holiday and special days of holiday is not handled correctly, there are financial consequences.
If remaining holiday and special days of holiday are not taken by the end of the holiday year, up to five holiday days and five special days of holiday may be transferred by agreement between the employee and the manager. Upon termination, all untaken holiday must be settled. Correct notification and taking of holiday to the greatest extent possible thus contributes to minimizing the financial consequences for the institute in connection with employee departures.
