Holiday upon termination of employment
If you leave your position at DTU, all untaken holidays and special days of holiday for the current holiday year (incl. any transferred days of holiday) will be settled.
If you leave your position after the end of the main holiday period (30 September) and you have been given notice to take your main holiday, any untaken/non-registered main holiday that is not due to a holiday obstacle will not be paid into the Feriekonto account. The same applies if you have been given notice of your remaining holiday and special days of holiday, but have not taken them.
Days of holiday that you have accrued, but not taken, before you leave your position will be paid into the Feriekonto account and calculated at 12.5% of the holiday pay entitlement.
If the special holiday allowance of 1.5% has been paid for this part of the outstanding days of holiday, it will be offset proportionally.
Special conditions for transferred days of holiday
Days of holiday that have been transferred either by agreement or due to a holiday obstacle and that have not yet been taken on the severance date will be disbursed directly to you when you leave your position.
Special conditions for holiday in advance
If you have taken holiday in advance that has not yet been accrued when you leave your position, the days of holiday taken will be offset against your entitlement to holiday pay and any salary.
Special conditions for holiday accrued on leave without pay
If you have accrued days of holiday during a period of absence without pay, no amount will be disbursed for these days.
Special days of holiday
Outstanding special days of holiday will be disbursed to you together with your last salary and are calculated at 0.5% per outstanding special day of holiday, using the same calculation basis as for ordinary holiday pay.
Are you leaving the labour market?
If you are leaving the labour market due to illness or age, the holiday allowance is disbursed directly to you. You must document to DTU that you are leaving the labour market. This may, for example, be done via a printout from the municipality or pension scheme. You must request disbursement of your holiday no later than six months after you have left the labour market.
