Leaving Denmark
When you leave DTU and Denmark there are a number of practical matters you must pay attention to.
General administrative matters:

- Deregistering the civil registration number, CPR
- Closing your bank account
- Insurance
- Housing lease contract, including power, water, and heating
- Newspaper, phone TV, and other media
- Nursery, kindergarten, and school
- Club/sport membership
- Tax
DTU related matters:
Holiday pay
When leaving Denmark after being employed at DTU, you can have your remaining
holiday paid out. Please find more information here. It is very important that you
Contact HR - DTU Inside that you are leaving Denmark. Please make sure to keep
your Danish bank account open for a while.

Please inform the work- and residence permit team that you are leaving on:

DTU Fusion
To ensure correct settlement of your holiday pay, please ensure that DTU FUSION is updated at the latest on the 15th in the last month of your employment, if you intend to take either special or ordinary holidays before leaving DTU.
Items to return to DTU
Ask the section secretary or coordinator at your department about returning DTU items, such as:
- Keys and card
- PC and phone
- Books
- And any other items that belong to DTU
