DTU's Security Committee

DTU’s committee for security in research, innovation, and education activities clarifies responsibilities and supports a stronger security organization

To ensure a robust framework for research security, DTU has established a Security Committee. The purpose of this committee is to define DTU’s security organization within the university’s research, innovation and education activities.

The committee’s responsibilities are

  • Develop clear frameworks and procedures for managing security, economic, and reputational risks in research, innovation, and education activities.
  • Address principled cases related to research, innovation, and education involving security concerns or issues with high reputational risk.
  • Support a cultural shift at DTU towards greater awareness of risk management and security aspects in research and innovation.
  • Review DTU’s annual report on research security management to the Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science in line with the agreements on research security for 2026-2029.

The committee consists of DTU’s Provost, DTU’s Director and representatives from key administrative units.
