Turnitin
Turnitin is DTU's tool for plagiarism detection of written assignments. The tool is integrated with Assignments in DTU Learn and compares submitted text against sources such as web content, publications, and previously submitted papers. The results are presented in a Similarity Report, where you can view matching text passages and the sources from which they originate.

Turnitin is used through Assignments in DTU Learn. Here, you can enable Turnitin for an assignment and subsequently access the Similarity Report directly from Learn.
The report highlights the text matches identified by Turnitin and provides an overall similarity score. This score indicates the proportion of the submission that matches content found in Turnitin's source databases.
A similarity score is not, in itself, evidence of plagiarism. Quotations, references, and other legitimate textual similarities may also be identified as matches. The report should therefore always be evaluated in the context of the specific submission and used as a supplement to your assessment.
