DTU Culture Day – for all new employees
DTU Culture Day is a mandatory introduction day for all new employees at DTU. Corporate HR recommends that you participate in DTU Culture Day as soon as possible after you have been hired. You will learn more about what it is like to work at DTU and how you can contribute to our common work culture and DTU’s development. You will, among other things, be introduced to DTU’s mission, strategy, history, organization, and values. In addition, you can choose to participate in some optional sessions. On DTU Culture Day, we would like to welcome you and make sure that you feel part of your new workplace. DTU Culture Day will take place in English, as we have many nationalities at our international university.

The DTU Leadership Programme
The DTU Leadership Programme is aiming at DTU leaders at middle management level leading a research group, a team of scientists, or any organizational unit where specialists, researchers and other highly qualified employees create results.

DTU aims at continuously professionalizing the DTU leadership practice. The leadership profile is developed and updated, and the requirements of leaders are clearly described as a set of academic and personal competencies. DTU is a technical university with responsible leadership at all levels, and DTU leaders must contribute to a working environment sustaining and enhancing the academic profile of DTU.

This course is part of the mandatory introductory programme and is aimed for all new employees working with research. The course will introduce the participants to the Code of Conduct for Research Integrity, responsible conduct of research and data management planning.

Supervision and facilitation of learning
This course is mandatory for all PhD-students at DTU and addresses the challenges of the role of the supervisor and of the TA.

Teaching Lab
This is a basic course in teaching and learning at university level. The course aims to make you able to plan and carry out teaching lessons focusing on students learning. Through presentations, discussions and practical exercises you will become familiar with different teaching methods. Teaching Lab is the first module in the process of learning university teaching.

UDTU - Teacher Training Programme 
UDTU is an introductory education in university teaching and learning with focus on how to educate engineers. UDTU is mandatory for you who are going to be an Associate Professor and/or will be course responsible at DTU. The overall objective of UDTU is that you acquire knowledge, methods, and tools that enable you to teach with proficiency at university level. UDTU also provides you with tools to continually develop your teaching practice and to enhance your understanding of student learning and its prerequisites.
