Forum for deputy heads of department and heads of administration

The forum for deputy heads of department and heads of administration (FVA) is a meeting forum for the two above-mentioned groups, as well as for directors from the Administration.

The purpose of FVA is networking, exchange of knowledge and experience as well as
strengthen cooperation in the administrative area between departments and central administrative units.

FVA discusses strategic themes with special focus on the interfaces between departments and the administration of high relevance to deputy heads of department, heads of administration, and directors from the Administration.

Some departments have either a deputy head of department or a head of administration, while others have both. The meetings are of relevance to both groups, and the departments decide who should participate in the individual meetings, depending on the agenda. Common to all the participants is that they have managerial responsibility either at the department or in the Administration, and that they operate in the interface between the department and the Administration, which enables them to contribute to increased collaboration.

In general, FVA has no substitutes as is the case with the meetings held by the circle of DTU department heads and centre directors, and thus has no decision-making power.

A working group sets the agenda. The working group consists of two institute representatives and a deputy director and FVA secretary Christina Colding Nedergaard.
