What the Public Procurement Act means for you
Purchases below DKK 100,000
For purchases below DKK 100,000 that cannot be made through a framework agreement, the individual units are responsible. The Danish Public Procurement Act applies, and the administrative law principles must be observed, but due to the low contract value, no specific documentation requirements apply.
If you have questions, you are welcome to contact Operational Procurement.
Purchases above DKK 100,000
For purchases above DKK 100,000 that cannot be made through a framework agreement, Operational Procurement must be involved. Group Procurement ensures compliance with the Danish Public Procurement Act, including assessing whether cross‑border interest is present, and ensures that the administrative law principles are upheld. Group Procurement obtains offers and evaluates them in collaboration with the internal requisitioner at the department or institute. Required documentation related to the competitive process is ensured.
Purchases above DKK 1,645,367
For purchases above DKK 1,645,367, an EU tender procedure must be carried out, with certain exceptions.
Strategic Procurement must be involved well in advance, as soon as the need is known.
