Funding Calendars

Here you can find an overview of the main grants split across the year.

Below you will find a funding calendar that is continually updated with deadlines for the larger Danish foundations and the Horizon Europe calls, which have an ongoing deadline (ERC, Curie, EIC Pathfinder Open). Since the calendar is updated regularly - and valid for 1 year from now - it can also be used as an annual cycle.

If you are looking for opportunities sorted after funding categories, then you can see our latest newsletter. This calendar has focus on relevant coming calls.

You may also consult the funding and tenders portal of the European Commission.

Novo Nordisk Foundation – Interdisciplinary Synergy Programme

You can apply for up to DKK 19,4 million for a 4 year period. The Programme is designed to fund research ideas grounded in robust preliminary data, which require and interdisciplinary approach and demonstrate the potential to have a high level of impact, i.e. high- risk/high-gain. Research must align with NNF’s strategic focus areas of Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology, and Natural and Technical Sciences, with applicability in health or sustainability. Research within Social Sciences and Humanities can be an element of the proposal but cannot be the primary drive. Applicants with project ideas that have yet to secure preliminary data are encouraged to consider the Exploratory Interdisciplinary Synergy Programme as an alternative.
