Checklist for the work environmental groups
We have produced a series of checklists focused on offices, workshops and laboratories which can be used in surveying work environmental group area conditions. The work environmental group can use these check lists but they are also welcome to use an alternative survey method. The problems registered by the work environmental group that cannot be solved immediately must be incorporated in the departments workplace evaluation plan of action.
The department/unit can in cooperation with the work environmental group choose to use the checklists or parts of it as a tool to assess the work environmental groups area.
The checklists are available as word documents and additional questions can be added if the checklist is found insufficient so local conditions are taken in to consideration. Furthermore questions can be deleted if they are not relevant.
In regards to choice of methods the work environmental group can choose to:
- Interview a group of employees that work in the rooms in question (use group the checklists)
- Choose an independent assess of the rooms (use the group checklists)
- Distribute the checklist for individual response from the employees that work in the room (use the questionnaire checklists)
The work environmental group prioritizes the unit’s problems. Some problems can be solved quickly – write a date in the checklist when the problem has to be solved and the initials of the responsible party. Other problems which cannot be solved right away are placed in a prioritized plan of action and sent to the local safety supervisor.
