Psychological counselling

Psychological counselling at DTU is organized under Corporate HR and is provided by a licensed psychologist. Many of the psychological counselling service's activities relate to preventing and handling work-related stress—mainly through individual counselling.

The psychological counselling service offers the following stress-related services:

Individual consultation and counselling

Consultation and counselling services are offered to employees and managers in connection with work-related problems, including stress. The processes may differ in terms of duration, but typically include 1-5 consultations.

Anonymous counselling

There is an opportunity for anonymous counseling at DTU where employees and managers can talk to a psychologist about work-related issues.
This can take place in the offices in building 101 or elsewhere at DTU. You must write to psykologhjaelp@dtu.dk  or register at psychologist.dtu.dk to book an appointment.

Telephone counselling

Telephone counselling is available on tel. +45 30 40 19 64. If the phone is not answered, you are welcome to leave a message.

Email counselling

Employees and managers can contact psykologhjaelp@dtu.dk either to receive counselling via email, or to arrange a certain number of consultation meetings over a period of time.

Counselling for managers

Managers also have the opportunity to seek counselling and sparring in connection with problems related to either stress or job satisfaction. In practice, this means that psychologists from the psychological counselling service participate in meetings and contribute information and specific proposals to support the management in addressing the problems. The counselling can also advise on the involvement of other experts in the area. This can result in recommendations to establish stress related initiatives.

Regardless of how you contact the psychological counselling service, it will be treated confidentially, as all psychologists in Denmark are bound by a duty of confidentiality. Nobody at DTU (colleagues, managers, or Corporate HR in general) will know that you have contacted the psychological counselling service or why. Other people may only be involved with your consent.

Contact the psychological counselling service via email at psykologhjaelp@dtu.dk, register at psychologist.dtu.dk or contact the psychologists directly:
