DTU must continuously be an attractive, flexible, and sustainable workplace that attracts, develops, and retains the best employees. An important element in that ambition is the ongoing dialogue with your manager about your expectation for a flexible working life.
Dialogue is a key part of a sustainable working life. Through dialogue between manager and employee, flexibility is balanced with respect to tasks and the collegiate community.
At DTU, we have already gathered valuable learnings about the sustainable working life. There is, among other things, a connection between increased flexibility in the working day, our well-being, productivity, less sick leave, etc. We are constantly sharing our experience and if you would like to be part of the dialogue you are very welcome to contact your HR Partner.
A sustainable working life is based on an innovative mindset. Through dialogue, we find solutions that support us to interact with each other in an increasingly digital reality. At DTU, we are interested in how the physical meeting can be supplemented with a virtual accessibility—so that, for example, the experimental teaching and the face-to-face dialogue continue to contribute to our shared learning, activities, and well-being.
Increased organizational focus on flexibility is also in accordance with DTU’s decision to contribute to a sustainable transformation of society. Flexibility has a positive effect on well-being, family life, transport to and from work, work-related travel activity, and general sustainable use of resources.
