After 12 years as director of DTU Skylab, Mikkel Sørensen is stepping down to establish and lead DTU’s new scaleup initiative, DTU SkyFactory. As director of DTU SkyFactory, he will focus on supporting deep tech startups with high scaling potential within the EU.

Since Sørensen helped launch DTU Skylab in a basement in 2013, the innovation hub has moved into its own building and played a vital role in the emergence of many DTU-related startups. His departure marks a leadership transition, as professor and serial entrepreneur Jes Broeng takes the helm at DTU Skylab.

Farewell Reception

DTU Skylab invites startups, colleagues, partners, and friends to a reception to celebrate the achievements of the past 12 years and send Mikkel Sørensen off to SkyFactory. The event will also mark the transition to Jes Broeng.
