Monitor the energy comsumption of your devices
How much electricity does your computer use? Or for that matter a piece of lab equipment or your test set-up? An energy monitor can help you find out.
An energy monitor allows you to measure exactly how many kWh your electrical devices use. So if you would like to know more about the energy use in your department or unit, it’s as easy as that.
You are most welcome to get in touch with Campus Service who will help you find the best solution to your needs - drop them a line at DTU Serviceportal.
Two examples of energy monitors that can be used:
- A SparOmeter is a basic energy meter that you insert between the electrical outlet and your electrical device, e.g. your computer or printer - or you can connect it directly to a 230V outlet.
- A CEE meter allows you to measure the usage of connected machines and equipment e.g. a fume cupboard - or a site distribution board that is connected to the meter as an extension.
You can purchase a selection of energy monitors via DTU’s order system.
