Extended business trips
If your business trip lasts more than 28 days, it is considered a secondment, and special rules apply regarding reimbursement and travel administration. Here you can see what you need to be aware of.
When a business trip becomes a secondment
If your stay lasts more than 28 days, the trip is considered a secondment.
You are still entitled to travel reimbursement, but some of the rates change after day 28, for example per diem allowances and accommodation rates. This is because longer stays are considered more permanent, and it is therefore expected that cheaper solutions for meals and accommodation can be found compared to shorter trips.
Special rules apply to extended business travel, which may affect reimbursement, travel insurance and administrative procedures.
You should therefore contact Corporate HR if you are planning a business trip lasting more than 28 days.
