Børnehuset Drivhuset (The Greenhouse Childcare Centre)

As an employee at DTU (the Technical University of Denmark) you have the opportunity to enrol your child for childcare at Børnehuset Drivhuset (The Greenhouse Childcare Centre), which is located at DTU Lyngeby Campus.

On an equal footing with other citizens of Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality you should enrol your child within the first three months after he/she is born in order for the child’s date of birth to be entered on the waiting list, ensuring that you are offered a place at the earliest possible opportunity. If the municipality receives the application after this three-month period, the date on which it receives the application will be entered on the waiting list.

You can order the relevant forms from Pladsanvisningen (the registration department) at Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality either by e-mailing pladsanvisning@ltk.dk or calling Trine Bendixen on +45 97 30 73. Please remember to state in your application that you are affiliated to DTU so that you are placed on the DTU waiting list.

DTU has access to half of the places at Børnehuset Drivhuset, i.e. 15 crèche places and 18 pre-school places.

With regard to payment for the place, you should contact your municipality of residence to obtain the current rates.
