DE&I at DTU
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) was launched at DTU on January 1, 2022, as a programme.
DE&I ensures that DTU focuses on embedding diversity, equity, and inclusion within education, careers, organization, leadership, research, and communication. This focus is crucial for fostering a culture where both employees and students feel valued, supported, and included. Strengthening such an environment promotes an atmosphere where everyone can thrive and contribute to the DTU community.
DE&I at DTU is based on DTU's Gender Equality Plan (GEP), which was approved by DTU's management in 2021. GEP is a strategic plan that includes concrete initiatives and addresses mandatory points to identify, measure, and address gender imbalances at DTU. GEP stems from the requirements of Horizon Europe, the EU's largest framework program for research and innovation. The program supports free research, researcher mobility, strategic research, and innovation with a focus on interdisciplinary solutions and international collaboration.
