Procurement Courses – How to Purchase at DTU

Sooner or later, most employees will need to make a purchase as part of their work – ranging from laboratory equipment and software to course participation or consultancy services.

When you initiate a purchase, you are considered a requisitioner. As a public institution, DTU is required to comply with specific rules governing how purchases are carried out. Therefore, everyone who orders goods or services must complete the procurement training.

On this page, you will find a link to the course, which provides you with both:

  • Procurement competencies. Understand the rules, roles and responsibilities in DTU's procurement process
  • Fusion competencies. Learn step by step how to place orders correctly in DTU Fusion

Course structure

UThe training is role-based. All participants start with:

  1. Introduction to procurement at DTU

  2. Requisitioner training – aimed at those who place orders for goods or services themselves.

If you have an extended role (e.g. as an procurement super user), additional modules are available.

Do I need to take the course if I only order occasionally?

Yes. The training is short, flexible and can be completed at you convenience – and you can always return to it and use it as a reference tool.
