Development and Demonstration Programmes (EUDP, GUDP, MUDP)
EUDP, MUDP and GUDP all support green technology development and demonstration, but they focus on different areas.
EUDP (Energy)
The Energy Technology Development and Demonstration Programme (EUDP - Energiteknologiske Udviklings- og Demonstrationsprogram) aims to help maintain high energy supply security and reduce CO₂ emissions by supporting projects that demonstrate new green energy technologies. Research can be funded if it is part of the project. EUDP is technology-neutral in its prioritisation and assesses applications according to eight criteria, including innovation height, climate-policy targets and commercialisation potential.
You can find out more about the EUPD grants on the official website of the Danish Energy Agency - EUDP.
GUDP (Food, climate, environment)
The Green Development and Demonstration Program (GUDP – Grønt Udviklings- og Demonstrationsprogram) aims to address some of the key challenges facing the food industry by supporting green development and demonstration projects with the Danish food sector. The projects should be economically sustainable and solve some of society's climate and environmental problems, targeting the use of resources, animal welfare, food safety, human health and nutrition, and food quality.
You can find out more about the GUDP grant scheme at the official website of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries of Denmark, GUDP.
MUDP (Environment)
The Environmental Technology Development and Demonstration Program (MUDP - Miljøteknologisk Udviklings- og Demonstrationsprojekt), also known as ecoinnovation, seeks to ensure a better environment, strengthen green exports and create jobs. MUPDsupports projects with the development and application of new, environmental and resource-efficient technologies addressing environmental challenges.
