Examination outside the ordinary examination periods
Fifteen exam days are set each semester. The Office for Study Programmes and Student Affairs is responsible for conducting exams on these days. This means that the Office for Study Programmes and Student Affairs is responsible for the supervision, premises, paper etc.
If the department wishes to conduct an examination outside the established examination days and outside the daytime hours (after 3 pm), the department itself is responsible for conducting the examination. The Office for Study Programmes and Student Affairs and AIT cannot provide technical support in these cases. The students must give consent on this basis. The course coordinator is obliged to inform the students about the changed examination conditions.
The department must find premises, supervision, etc. itself. The Office for Study Programmes and Student Affairs is happy to assist in the planning, for example with names of possible supervision or something else. The Office for Study Programmes and Student Affairs cannot normally help find suitable premises, as all premises are laid out for teaching.
If the examination in a course is planned outside the examination period, this must be clearly stated in the course description in the course database and the students must be informed of the date of the examination at the start of the course.
Conducting a written exam after the 3-week period
The Office for Study Programmes and Student Affairs can conduct a written exam after the 3-week period on the last teaching day of the period, except for 3-week courses in July.
