Office for Study Programmes and Student Affairs (AUS)

Who are we?

The Office for Study Programmes and Student Affairs (AUS) helps ensure that DTU’s study programmes run smoothly, in close collaboration with the academic environments, lecturers, heads of study, departments, and students.

We work to ensure that students get a good start at DTU, thrive throughout their studies, and are well prepared for life and careers afterwards. In other words, we support the entire student journey from application and admission to the final exam and the first job.

Today, we are around 120 employees (March 2026) – plus a large group of dedicated student assistants.

What do we do?

Together with departments, heads of study, and lecturers, we ensure that DTU’s study programmes are coherent and continuously improving.

That means that we, among other things:

  • Ensure the quality of teaching and study programmes through documentation, follow up, and continuous quality assurance processes.
  • Make everyday life run as smoothly as possible for students, lecturers, and heads of study.
  • Support students throughout their entire programme.
  • Support the development of teaching, pedagogical/didactic initiatives, and competency development.
  • Contribute to making DTU an attractive and international university with an ambitious, diverse, and inclusive study environment.
  • Operate and develop all study administrative processes.

… as well as many other activities—all aimed at supporting a strong student experience and high quality engineering education at DTU.

How can you use us?

AUS is part of what makes DTU’s study programmes function day to day.

As a student, you can contact us for answers about admission, your study programme and regulations, guidance during your studies, help if something isn’t working, and to navigate opportunities such as exchange and international stays.

As a lecturer or staff member, you can use us for sparring on teaching and programme development, to ensure that study administration works in practice, to receive support in planning and quality assurance of study programmes, and to find solutions when rules, systems, and real-life situations don’t fully align.

What characterises us?

AUS is an active partner in developing DTU’s study programmes.

  • We collaborate closely—both within AUS and across the university
  • We take responsibility and act before problems arise
  • We develop continuously—professionally and organisationally
  • We are measured by whether things work in practice

Our mission is, at its core, quite simple: To make DTU’s study programmes as strong as possible—for students, for lecturers, and for society.
