Jogging path in “the DTU Forest”

DTU is surrounded by a five kilometer long jogging path in the "forest" around the Campus in Lyngby.

The jogging path starts southeast of the sports hall at building 101. Then it winds its way through the scenic forest areas at the edge of campus. The path is intended as a nature trail, has a soft ground surface and is marked by crossing roads and other places where its course is not entirely obvious. You can read more about the establishment of the path in the newsletter CAS på Tværs April 2012 - see the fact box to the right.

The path is an offer for both employees, students and the locals for walking or running, Nordic walking or for "Walk & Talk". There are milestones and benches along the route. A pram can also get around on a trip round the path.

Running and walking

Use the path for a brisk walk or run on Campus in green surroundings. Every spring, the path forms the surroundings for the DTU relay for employees and students.

Walk & Talk

Combine a meeting or a colleague talk with activity - get fresh air, exercise and energy for the rest of the day.

Outdoor exercise area

An outdoor exercise area “exercise island” was established in 2010 in connection with jogging path. The exercise island is located at the Oticonsalen and is an offer to both employees and students with a different and more social form of training and exercise in the open air.
