What should be sorted at DTU?

At DTU, it is a requirement that DTU units ensure the following:

  • Sorting of the 11 standard fractions indoors in all buildings. This covers waste similar to household waste.

  • Sorting of other types of special waste generated in the buildings, such as in laboratories and workshops.

Find sorting guidelines and more information about the waste types here:

All DTU-units have a local waste responsible

Campus Service and the DTU-units cooperate when it comes to waste separation and recycling. Campus Service do the general coordination, planning and strategy and handle waste in outdoor areas and common indoor areas. DTU’s units are responsible for their waste inside their own indoor areas.

All units must have at least one local waste responsible person, who arrange and communicate about waste in cooperation with Campus Service.
