Bereavement leave
As a parent, you may be entitled under the Maternity Act to bereavement leave with benefits if a child is stillborn or dies before the age of 18.
Bereavement leave may be taken for up to 26 weeks (6 months). Parents who take bereavement leave are entitled to paid leave, provided that DTU is able to receive full reimbursement of benefits.
