Pregnancy Absence
In accordance with the confinement agreement, full pay is granted for pregnancy-related absence in the period prior to the notified pregnancy leave (incl. “omsorgsdage”, if any) if:
- the pregnant woman is unable to work due to pregnancy
- the special character of the work implies a risk for the foetus and if DTU has not offered the woman another suitable position
- the pregnancy prevents the woman from carrying out her job and if DTU has not offered/cannot offer the woman another suitable position
Any other pregnancy absence, e.g. absence due to ordinary pregnancy inconvenience as sickness, indisposition, vomiting etc., is considered as ordinary illness.
