If the basis of your residence in Denmark changes—e.g. you have been given a registration certificate/EU residence permit as a student and you wish to remain in Denmark in order to work—you must inform the State Administration in order to receive a new registration certificate/EU residence permit.
To change the EU residence permit from ‘study’ to ‘work’, you need to work in Denmark at least 10-12 hours per week for a minimum of 10-12 weeks.
Please inform the Regional State Administration about the new basis of residence by email and submit all relevant documents to:
post@statsforvaltningen.dk.
Read more about the documentation here.
If your employment letter is older than 30 days, you will need an ‘employer’s declaration’.
Please contact Corporate HR if you need the declaration.
