Newborn baby, EU/EEA/Swiss citizens

Please be aware that you must apply for an accompanying family permit for your child. An application must be submitted regardless of where your child is born.

To apply for the residence permit, your child needs to have its own passport.

To apply for an EU residence permit for your child, you need to send in the application form for your child including birth certificate, an employer’s declaration (please send an e-mail to the Work & Residence Team on wr@dtu.dk to receive this declaration), copy of passport, etc. (as soon as possible after the birth of your child).
