Mail

At DTU, we use Outlook as our email platform. You can access Outlook from both your computer and mobile device. When you are employed at DTU and send work emails - both internally and externally - you must always use your DTU email address. You can read more about how to set up your DTU email on your computer and mobile here.

On this page, you will find help and references to the most relevant Outlook features that support your workday.

When you, as a DTU employee, need to send an email containing sensitive information or confidential data, you must use secure email. Secure email protects the content from unauthorized access and ensures that only the sender and recipient can read the message.

At DTU, you can send a secure email to either Digital Post or e-Boks.

Send a Secure Email to Digital Post or e-Boks

When you need to send sensitive information to either Digital Post or e-Boks, you must use the Timengo DPG solution. It is installed as an add-in in Outlook and ensures that your data is sent encrypted and protected. This solution is used, for example, when you need to send a contract, communicate with students, or contact public authorities.

How to Use the Timengo DPG Add-in

If you need the Timengo DPG solution, you must contact IT Support and request to have the solution installed in your Outlook.

At Timengo you will find videos showing how to use the Timengo DPG solution in Outlook.
If you receive an automatic message that an email has been quarantined and you believe it was flagged by mistake, click the “Release” button to request its release.
After that, you need to create a ticket via IT support under the category “Request release of quarantined mail” so we can review the specific email, assess whether it is safe, and release it - or inform you why it was held back.
