Print, Scan, and Copy

As a DTU employee, you can print, scan, or copy documents using one of the many printers available across all DTU locations.

FollowMe Printing

FollowMe printing offers increased security, as your documents are only printed when you are physically at the printer and scan your DTU access card on the card reader. This gives you greater control over who sees the contents of your documents. If you forget your access card, you can manually log in to the printer using your DTU account.

When you print to FollowMe, you can release the document at any FollowMe printer across DTU’s locations. This means you don’t need to know the specific name of the printer to print on it.

You also have the option to scan documents directly to your email. When using FollowMe print, the system already knows your email address, and by default, scans are sent to it.

Add/Install FollowMe Print

If FollowMe print is not installed on your computer, you can use this guide to install it. Note that not all printers are currently set up for FollowMe print, so it may be necessary to add/install a specific printer.

If your nearest printer is not a FollowMe printer, you will need to install that specific printer on your computer.

If you experience problems with an AIT-supported printer, report the issue to IT Support. Always provide the specific name of the printer when reporting – the printer’s name is always labeled on the front of the device.

Please note that if it’s a technical issue that AIT cannot resolve, it may take 1 to 2 business days from when AIT reports the issue to the external partner until the repair begins.

You will often find a new toner in the printer room, allowing you to replace it immediately.

If you take the last toner from the printer room, contact the person responsible for printers in your unit (e.g., a secretary) so they can order new toner supplies.
