Funding via private foundations can occur via their open, competitive calls or initiatives outside of these calls via strategic dialogue. When contacting foundations about large initiatives not part of these calls, please adhere to the DTU policy on keeping the DTU provost and the Research Office informed.

Building strategic dialog
The Research Office supports the strategic dialogue with private Danish foundations to secure funding for stand-alone grants and initiatives that are not part of open calls.
Our strategic approach involves building strong relationships with foundations, understanding their priorities, and aligning them with the university's research strengths.
We focus on understanding foundations' priorities and ensuring alignment with DTU's research strengths, crafting bespoke proposals that address joint interests, and securing long-term collaborations.
When contacting foundations about large initiatives, please adhere to the DTU policy on keeping the DTU provost and the Research Office informed.
