Meeting- and telephonebox

With an office pod, you can create a spot in a room with space for conversations, digital meetings, and contemplation if you need a little more peace and quiet for a while.

Campus Service Working Environment and Preparedness has researched the market offering of office pods for meetings and calls and ended up testing 3 boxes during a one-month period. The 3 boxes were selected based on their sound insulation and air quality (ventilation), but were also assessed in terms of sustainability, portability, and comfort. In the end, the Framery One model was selected.

DTU has chosen the version without a fixed chair to ensure flexibility. One option is to purchase a height-adjustable stool that can be placed under the height-adjustable desk for standing up.

The pod must be ordered as a non-catalogue item. Download the catalogue from the fact box for more information about the pod itself, electrical installations in escape routes, stools, prices, ordering, etc.

Quick facts about the pod:

  • the available colours included in the price agreement are white, gray, or black with grey internal panels and grey carpet
  • it meets leading soundproofing standards (>30 dB) for confidential or private conversations in the pod
  • high air quality (29 litres/sec) and less than 1000 ppm, so you should be able to stay in the pod for up to approx. 3 hours
  • it features wheels, but rests on leveling feet
  • a red lamp indicates that the pod is occupied, and green if available
  • it can be set up to be bookable via Outlook, for instance
  • the majority of materials are recycled or recyclable
  • the desk is height-adjustable
  • the option of purchasing a height-adjustable stool persists
  • the price incl. delivery and installation is DKK 61.000

You can see and try out the pod in building 409, Lyngby Campus.  Please send an email to Ann-Rose Bøttcher on arbot@dtu.dk
