Use of outdoor areas

DTU’s outdoor areas are not only for practical use, but also improves the quality of everyday life at DTU. We all have a responsibility to take good care of these areas, so if you see things that need to be repaired, please report it.

This could, for example, be a large branch that has broken off and needs to be removed, or maybe even a fallen tree that has to be cleared. We would also like to hear about branches on trees that pose a hazard to people, traffic, or buildings.

Use of outdoor areas for social purposes on Lyngby Campus

All DTU students and employees are welcome to use DTU’s outdoor areas for social purposes such as meetings, gatherings, and events. If you need help with, for example, blocking off traffic or setting up waste containers, you must order this from Campus Service Parks and Roads as a service task.

Barbecuing

All students and staff are welcome to barbecue on DTU Lyngby Campus. Campus Service Parks and Roads must be informed in advance - please use the contact form in the right-hand box.
The rules on barbecuing include the following:

• The safety distance to buildings, etc. must be at least five metres.
• There must be a stable surface at the barbecue site. Barbecues must not be placed on grass, etc.
• It must be ensured that smoke from the barbecue will not set off fire alarms or be of nuisance to other people.
• Flammable liquids must not be used to light barbecues.

Book the football pitch on DTU Lyngby Campus

If you want to use the football pitch on Lyngby Campus for a special event, it is a good idea to book it in advance by writing to DTU’s Service Centre at cas-service@adm.dtu.dk.

Use of outdoor areas on Risø Campus

On Risø Campus, employees are welcome to use, for example, ball fields and walking and running paths. If you are going to hold an event, the individual department is responsible for hosting the event in collaboration with Campus Service at Risø and the main gate office.
