Taxi transportation

Taxis may only be used for short journeys when your manager and unit guidelines consider them to be the most appropriate option in terms of time and cost compared with public transport or the use of a private car.

If you choose to travel by taxi, you must be able to justify this choice in your expense report. Personal circumstances do not justify the use of taxis.

Booking a taxi

DTU is covered by a Danish government framework agreement for taxi services. The agreement is divided by geographic area, and you must book with the provider assigned to your region.

Below, you will find practical information on how to book taxis in the different areas.

  • Book via TAXA.nu (booking platform)
  • Use the TAXA app for iOS or Android - see the 3-step guide for booking through the app
  • Book by phone: 35 30 91 80 (VIP-number)
  • Remember to provide the correct account number for your unit when booking
  • Discounts only apply when using a DTU credit card or taxi vouchers
  • Use the Dantaxi app - see the guide
  • Online booking (e.g. from hotel receptions) - see the guide
  • Book by phone: 45 83 19 94 (VIP-number)
  • Provide the correct account number from this overview
  • Discounts only apply when using a DTU credit card or taxi vouchers

Uber

Uber may be used for DTU-related travel where it is legally available and operational.
Uber trips must be booked through the app, and you must remember to save adequate documentation for use in DTU Fusion. Receipts can be found under Your Trips in the app, via your email or by logging in at riders.uber.com.

Tip: To keep business and private trips separate, you may find it useful to link your DTU email address to your Uber account.
