Senior bonus
Effective from January 1, 2024, all monthly-paid employees over 62 years old are entitled to a senior bonus.
The entitlement applies from the calendar year in which you turn 62 and amounts to 0.8% of your usual annual salary, paid monthly together with the fixed monthly salary.
For employees covered by collective agreements, pension contributions are made from the senior bonus according to the rules in the (common) collective agreement and/or organizational agreement under which you are employed.
There is an option to convert the senior bonus into an extraordinary pension contribution. If desired, please create a case in DTU Service Portal where you write: “Senior bonus requested to be converted to pension contribution (salary component 7951)” in the free text field.
