Occupational indused disorders
Occupational induced disorders such as allergy, hearing disorder etc. usually occurs after several years.
The notification to Labour Market Insurance (AES) is made either via your own general practitioner or via the Occupational Medicine Clinic (to which CAS Health & Safety can refer). If the report is made via the Occupational Medicine Clinic, they will, if necessary, keep the person's general practitioner informed..
Compensation
the Labour Market Insurance operates with a type of positive list regarding sickness’ acknowledged to be connected with incriminating work environment ex. hearing disorders due to noise or eczema caused by chemicals. An employee with one of these disorders has a good chance of getting his induced disorder acknowledged. If the disorder is not on the positive list it can then only be acknowledged if doctors and labour market parties in a particular committee acknowledges the disorder as a occupational induced disorder.
Compensation can be triggered when a disorder/sickness is acknowledged and there is permanent disability or reduced ability to work. One can also get acknowledgement without getting compensation. If a person is awarded compensation, then the compensation will be paid out by Labour Occupational Security which is a joint pool that every employer in Denmark contributes to.
