Ladders

Must be inspected annually

All department ladders must be inspected by an expert at least once a year. They have to be inspected for loose steps, missing ladder feet, damage on sidepieces etc. A label must be attached to the ladder, so one can see, when the ladder was last inspected.

Some departments have chosen to inspect the ladders themselves. This does not require a formal education but it could be a workman with a 1-day course (ex. by Zarges).
