Safety moment
At the KAMU meeting in November 2020, it has been decided to implement a new concept Safety Moment at DTU in 2021.
Safety Moment is an easy and effective method for communication and dialogue about the work environment – typically through a plenary dialogue lasting 2-5 minutes, e.g., at the beginning of team, department, or section meetings.
The purpose of Safety Moment is to support “Vision Zero” – DTU’s journey towards zero accidents.
Safety Moment is a two-way process that leads to a shared understanding, where participants not only exchange experiences, knowledge, and ideas but also create and share opinions and beliefs through dialogue – thereby improving safety behavior and safety culture. Safety Moment will thus contribute to enabling employees and students at DTU to identify and understand risks, as well as incorporate measures to mitigate them.
The implementation of the Safety Moment concept at DTU is included in the KAMU action plan 2021. The project will be led by CAS AB and cascaded via the health and safety coordinators, the health and safety organization, and line management.
