Senior Bonus Days (with salary deduction)
The circular on the agreement on senior bonus and senior days allows you to take up to 2 days off per year with a salary deduction.
Employees are entitled to a senior bonus from 1 January of the calendar year in which they turn 62. The senior bonus amounts to 0.8% of your fixed monthly salary and is paid every month together with your salary.
If you instead wish to take the 2 senior bonus days as time off, the bonus will still be paid every month, but your salary will be deducted for the days you take off.
The right to take 2 senior bonus days with salary deduction
The right to take 2 senior bonus days with salary deduction applies from the year in which you turn 62.
- If you turn 62 between January 1 and June 30, you are entitled to take 2 senior bonus days with salary deduction in the year you turn 62.
- If you turn 62 between July 1 and December 31, you are entitled to take 1 senior bonus day with salary deduction in the year you turn 62.
In subsequent years, you are entitled to take 2 senior bonus days with salary deduction per year.
The days must be taken as whole days off. Upon termination of employment, any untaken senior bonus days will be forfeited.
If you wish to take senior bonus days with salary deduction, you must notify your immediate manager as early as possible for work planning purposes. Untaken senior bonus days are forfeited at the end of the calendar year.
