Emergency courses
The course can be organized both with and without defibrillator depending on desire.
The purpose of the program is to provide the participant with knowledge and skills so that he/she can carry out alerting and step-by-step firefighting using simple extinguishing means and taking into account own safety. The purpose is also to give the participant an attitude towards fire prevention.
The course will include:
- What is a fire and how does it spread
- Emergency evacuation
- Alerting fire department
- Extinguishing methods and extinguishing tools
- Practical exercises
The department will ensure that a reasonable and sufficient number of staff members are trained through courses in basic firefighting. The size of this amount is highly dependent on the department’s activities, but at least a number corresponding to the size of the health and safety organization.
In areas with fire-risk, it may be considered whether it is relevant that everyone in the area offered training.
Institutions outside Lyngby Campus provide for the necessary fire courses.
