First aid kits

The local working environment committee must ensure that the department has sufficient funds for first aid kits and find suitable locations for them.

• There should be at least one first aid box in the hallway on each floor in buildings measuring 100 metres in length and a similar amount in other buildings
• Band-aid dispensers are located conveniently in cabinet doors in laboratories, workshops and kitchens
• There should be a sign stating the location of first aid kits.

It is recommended that the local working environment group is responsible for filling the kits/cabinets.
