HR Transformation
In HR Transformation (HRT), we set the framework for and facilitate the development of strategic initiatives within talent development, leadership, and the working environment. Our work supports DTU’s Strategy 2026–2030 and contributes to a healthy working environment where employees thrive and can realise their full potential.
Diversity, equity and inclusion, as well as data and digitalisation, are fundamental elements of our work. They shape our processes and initiatives within talent development, leadership, and the working environment.
At DTU, talent is diverse. It exists across many different roles and job functions and at various stages of a career. Career paths at DTU are designed to allow for both professional and personal development across all types of roles throughout working life.
DTU educates talent for both academia and industry through its PhD programme. We work to ensure that our early career talents in the PhD and Master’s programmes graduate from DTU with strong competencies that prepare them both to work as engineers and to take on leadership roles in organisations.
Our focus areas for talent development include:
- Attracting the right talent
- PhD education
- Tenure Track
- Career paths and competence development for both academic (VIP) and technical/administrative (TAP) staff
Leadership at DTU takes many forms and is carried out across many different roles – not only in formal leadership positions. New forms of learning and platforms provide broader access to leadership development.
At DTU, leadership development takes place in collaboration with others working on similar leadership themes. Our approach to leadership development is innovative and incorporates new leadership perspectives and concepts.
Within leadership, we work with:
- DTU’s Leadership Foundation
- Leadership feedback
- Leadership education and training
- Different leadership roles
- Leadership forums
At DTU, we strive to create a healthy, safe and inclusive working environment where everyone can thrive. For us, a good working environment is about balance throughout the entire working life. This includes both the psychological and physical working environment and applies to everyone who participates in our physical and digital spaces.
Corporate HR collaborates across the organisation and brings together relevant stakeholders around shared working environment initiatives. Our approach is preventive and dialogue based, with a focus on:
- Workplace assessments (APV) and wellbeing dialogues
- A safe and healthy psychological working environment
- Prevention of harassment and sexism
- Prevention of stress
- Flexible work arrangements
- HR policies
- DTU’s Working Environment Organisation
We see diversity as a strength. The best solutions emerge when different perspectives come together in an inclusive community where it feels safe and easy to ask curious questions.
Diversity, equity and inclusion are an integral part of DTU. We continuously work to embed these principles in our culture, processes, systems and structures so that they shape how we solve tasks, lead and collaborate.
